Furthermore, Incfile/Bizee includes a year of registered agent service, a feature MyCompanyWorks only adds to its top two LLC formation packages. MyCompanyWorks: The cheapest LLC formation service package they offer costs $59 (+ state fee). It includes an operating agreement template, customizable minutes, and a company alerts system. Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee offers phone and email support, which we tested. Incfile/Bizee’s phone support is typically responsive and helpful. However, its email support is much less responsive. Some of our emails have gone unanswered, and several of the responses we have received are just form emails that don’t directly address our questions. Their support department is available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET Monday-Friday.
MyCompanyWorks: MyCompanyWorks provides customers with phone and email support. We reached out via the form on their website and received a response back in less than 24 hours, and we were also able to reach an employee on the phone quickly. Their reps were courteous and professional, and they elaborated a bit on their responses as well. Their hours of availability run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on weekdays.
Incfile/Bizee: With Incfile/Bizee, turnaround times vary based on each individual state’s formation speeds. This can be as quick as a few days in some states or could take several weeks in others. You can also add expedited processing to speed it up, although the price will vary by state.
MyCompanyWorks: MyCompanyWorks says they’ll process your formation paperwork the same day you submit your order if it’s before 3 pm ET or the next business day if you submit your order after 3 pm ET. They have detailed estimates for both standard and expedited service on their order form.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee doesn’t just have hundreds of customer reviews available online, they have 75,000+ of them. Furthermore, their feedback is mostly positive, with critical reviews in short supply.
MyCompanyWorks: MyCompanyWorks has around 4,000 reviews available online, with most of them earning positive scores. This company has solid customer feedback.
Incfile/Bizee: As you walk through the process of signing up for Incfile/Bizee, your steps are personalized based on the state you live in and the type of business you wish to establish. There are hyperlinks throughout the application to learn more about a specific question or entry on the form. There are a few upsells and third-party offers to navigate through, but if you opt into any of them, your total price is immediately updated on the screen.
MyCompanyWorks: There are just four screens on MyCompanyWorks’ order form. First, you’ll choose your state and entity type. Then, you’ll choose one of their three LLC formation packages, along with any add-ons you might want. From there, you just need to fill out your business and personal info and payment details.
When it comes to their additional services, there’s plenty of overlap between these two companies, as they both provide common features like registered agent service, doing business as (DBA) names, annual reports, and more. In fact, these two companies offer almost all of the same services. However, there are a couple of exceptions, like MyCompanyWorks offering virtual office services, which Incfile/Bizee doesn’t.
Incfile/Bizee and MyCompanyWorks offer many of the same business services, but there are some key differences in the way they provide these solutions. Depending on what your priorities and needs are, you may prefer one over the other. If you’re still undecided, it might help to walk through some scenarios that may sway your decision to either MyCompanyWorks, Incfile/Bizee, or ZenBusiness.

The most widely recommended LLC formation package offered by Incfile/Bizee is their Silver plan, which is free if you pay your own state fee. With this option, you’ll receive a year of registered agent service in addition to your formation.
Unfortunately, Incfile/Bizee doesn’t offer publication services in states that require them. We called their customer support team to ask for clarification on this issue, and they told us that publication requirements “need to be taken care of with the state directly.” MyCompanyWorks doesn’t provide publication service either, but they do provide instructions to help you complete this step yourself.
If you need help with NY publication requirements, check out our New York publication service for more information.
MyCompanyWorks and Incfile/Bizee both avoid overwhelming their customers with upsells, in our opinion. Both present opportunities for you to upgrade to a more expensive service package or add features, but it’s done in a largely inobtrusive way.
Would you like to take a look at a few other options and see if Incfile/Bizee is as good as other companies? Check out our comparisons of Incfile/Bizee to other top-rated LLC services:
MyCompanyWorks has a confusing refund policy. You’ll see MyCompanyWorks refer to their 100% satisfaction guarantee quite a bit, which says they’ll refund your money if you’re unhappy for any reason. However, at the time of this writing, other parts of their website contradict this claim.
For instance, in the terms and conditions, MyCompanyWorks lays out a very different and much more costly refund policy. It says that depending on the status of your order when you request your refund, you will receive the total order amount minus a $25, $50, or $75 processing fee. Once your documents have been shipped to the state, refunds are no longer available.
Incfile/Bizee’s refund policy isn’t exactly an advantage either, as they only provide refunds if you request one before they send money to your state government, which they say is usually within 24 hours. Even then, they charge a $30 processing fee. After they send your payment to the state, there are no refunds for any reason.
These service providers both base their turnaround times on the ability of each state to process LLC formations. Therefore, for the most part, they’re pretty close regarding their processing time estimates. That said, MyCompanyWorks’ pledge to submit your order to the state by the next business day gives it an advantage, as Incfile/Bizee only promises next-business-day filing for customers who purchase its most expensive package.
You can, and many entrepreneurs do form their own LLCs every day. However, we appreciate the peace of mind we receive from using a reputable formation service. In addition, each state has its own rules and regulations for LLC formations, so there can often be more legwork than people might expect.
The biggest advantage for MyCompanyWorks is the responsiveness of its customer support network. You’ll rarely wait more than 20 minutes for a response if you contact them during business hours. As for Incfile/Bizee, their inclusion of a year of best registered agent service with every formation package is a noteworthy advantage.
With MyCompanyWorks, you can get registered agent service and annual report service for $99 each per year. As for Incfile/Bizee, they have an annual price point of $119 for registered agent service, and their annual report service is available for $99.
